Restore and Realign Workshop

Each week we will focus on realigning your chakras while in a restorative setting. Students will have a sequence designed for him or her according to their Ayurvedic Dosha, which can be incorporated into their home practice. This workshop is geared to those students looking to deepen their restorative practice, and those whom are feeling stress around the holidays.

Kids Yoga Workshop Ages 6-11

Join us at evolve for Kids yoga Classes for Ages 6-11!

Classes will:

  • engage the children using props, stories, and music in both French and English to get everyone involved
  • provide aerobic activity and stretching to meet DPA / APQ and some curriculum expectations
  • introduce simple breathing tools and mindfulness techniques to calm children
  • create opportunities for positive interaction between children through games and partner yoga

Yoga Nidra, known as yogic sleep, is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping that is intended to induce total physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Some people say that one hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep!

Prenatal Yoga Workshop

Erica Evans is a Certified Prenatal Yoga and Restorative Yoga Teacher. Join her for a prenatal series starting Friday, October 6th and ending Friday, November 19th, and a second 4 week series starting Friday, December 1st and ending Friday, December 22nd.

Research suggests that prenatal yoga can:
• Improve sleep
• Reduce stress and anxiety
• Increase the strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth
• Decrease lower back pain, nausea, carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms, headaches and shortness of breath

Prenatal yoga can also help you meet and bond with other pregnant women and prepare for the stress of being a new parent.
Each week we will focus on breathing, gentle stretching, asana or poses with modifications per trimester, finishing with a cool down and relaxation.

Each class is an hour long.

Reiki Restorative Workshop

Indulge in a two hour restorative yoga workshop.Experience the grounding effects of reiki as you surrender yourself in restorative yoga postures designed to decompress the body, easy the mind and soothe the heart.
Reiki has the capabilities of relaxing the body, releasing suppressed energies and clearing the mind of negative or clouded thoughts.

The practice will be half face up, half face down. You are guaranteed a minimum of 30 minutes of reiki throughout the workshop.

Baby & Me Yoga

Baby & Me Yoga is a gentle yoga practice designed for you and your new baby. The class includes gentle flows and stretching, deep breathing, and moving with your baby! Postnatal yoga helps to rebuild core strength, tone back and pelvic muscles, and release tension in the shoulders, chest and hips. Baby & Me Yoga is a beautiful way to connect with your new baby and to meet other mom’s in the community (Dads and caregivers welcome too!).

Babies can get fussy during class — our classes are very casual and you can feel free to nurse and tend to your baby at any time!  Bring a blanket for your baby and wear comfortable clothes you can move in. No prior yoga experience necessary. If you have questions about when to start, do ask your midwife or doctor.
