Yoga Class Descriptions

Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced yogi, our yoga classes will help you get the most out of your yoga practice. Choose your favourite yoga classes and yoga class package – and evolve yourself today!

  • evolve5 classes

    evolve5 classes are offered at 12pm during the week. They are all $5.00 plus HST drop-in classes.

  • evolve8 classes

    evolve8 classes are $8.00 plus HST.

  • Intro to Yoga (hot/non-hot)

    This class is for students who are new to yoga. It is geared towards explaining the names of the poses, proper alignments and is taught at a slower pace. This class is for beginners.

  • Slow Flow

    Perfect for beginners and students who wish to deepen their practice.  Slow, focused movement to breath with soft music playing.  The slow movement allows students to connect to each muscle they are engaging while focusing on breathing.

  • Yin Yang

    The first half of the class is vigorous and the second half is calming and passive.

  • Gentle Hatha (hot/non-hot)

    Focus is on breathing, basic poses, slow movements, and relaxation to enhance the awareness of the mind-body connection. Great for those with chronic injuries, limited mobility and stiff muscles and joints.

  • Vinyasa Flow (hot/non-hot)

    Using the fundamentals of a Sun Salutation, Vinyasa, or Flow yoga is a more dynamic type yoga. If you are a beginner or veteran, Vinyasa yoga can give you a heart pumping workout while using the poses from Hatha yoga and the movement of a Sun Salutation. Closing the class with a Savasana, or relaxation, helps with stress relief and decompression.

  • Yin (hot/non-hot)

    Passive poses are held for up to five minutes in order to encourage the softening of connective tissue. This class is for all levels who want to experience deep relaxation. No standing poses, no vinyasas, and no yoga experience is required.

  • Restorative (non-hot, hot and reduced heat)

    Poses and postures are held for a longer period to encourage a deeper relaxation. Students are led through a peaceful meditation to help them ‘let go’.

  • Relax & Rejuvenate (hot and reduced heat)

    Enjoy the heat and let your muscles release in the calm surroundings of our dimly lit studio. Open to all levels of yoga, come join us to stretch out, de-stress and detoxify your body. If you’ve never done hot yoga, this is a great opportunity to get used to the heat while exploring your practice

  • Core Flow (hot)

    Core Flow is an athletic, vinyasa flow class that focuses on building the core strength. Specific poses that help strengthen the core and target the midsection are sequenced with core training for a strong, energetic flow. This class is for more experienced yogis.

  • Power Flow (hot only)

    A powerful, energetic flow class that will burn caleries, tone, strengthen, cleanse your body and purify your mind. You’ll leave feeling full of vitality and empowerment. This is an ALL LEVELS class.

  • Hatha (hot)

    One of the oldest forms of yoga; focusing on the alignment of the pose, breathing techniques and meditation techniques with the goal of bringing about a sound, health body and a clear mind. Great class for beginners or seasoned yogi’s.

  • Relax & Refresh: Guided Meditation

    Take time for yourself as we explore the concept of ‘no-mind’ through guided meditation.

    In day to day life we become caught up in the chatter of the mind as we form lists, reflect on our day, and attempt to prepare for tomorrow. The goal of meditation is to slow down the chatter and make space between these thoughts. Even in small amounts, achieving this ‘space between thoughts’ instills clarity and a state of contentment.

  • Yoga Booty

    This class focuses on activating and toning the glutes. This will be set to the pace of a vinyasa flow class so expect to sweat and see results. We will incorporate lots of standing, lunging and squatting asanas.

  • Morning Flow (gently heated)

    A vinyasa style class focused on bringing breath and movement together. Sun salutations wake up the body transitioning into a warrior series that will awaken your body and have you ready to take on your day. Start your day with this challenging flow!

  • Reiki Restorative

    Poses and postures are held for a longer period to encourage a deeper relaxation. Students are led through a peaceful meditation to help them ‘let go’. Reiki is introduced at the end of the practice.

  • Yoga Fundamentals

    This class is perfect to learn how to move and breath in the practice. The fundamentals class is mildly athletic in nature and perfect for those new to yoga and who want to learn the basics of a yoga practice.

  • Gentle Yoga (reduced heat)

    Rotating Class/Teacher – Each week a different teacher will bring their style and guide you through a relaxing practice.  Every class is intended to let go, create space and breathe.  Great for beginners or seasoned yogi’s.
