Yoga Class Descriptions

Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced yogi, our yoga classes will help you get the most out of your yoga practice. Choose your favourite yoga classes and yoga class package – and evolve yourself today!

  • evolve10 classes

    evolve10 classes are offered at 12pm during the week. They are all $10.00 plus HST. All classes have to be paid for and registered in advance.

  • Slow Flow

    Perfect for beginners and students who wish to deepen their practice.  Slow, focused movement to breath with soft music playing.  The slow movement allows students to connect to each muscle they are engaging while focusing on breathing.

  • Yin Yang

    The first half of the class is vigorous and the second half is calming and passive.

  • Gentle Hatha (hot/non-hot)

    Focus is on breathing, basic poses, slow movements, and relaxation to enhance the awareness of the mind-body connection. Great for those with chronic injuries, limited mobility and stiff muscles and joints.

  • Vinyasa Flow (hot/non-hot)

    Using the fundamentals of a Sun Salutation, Vinyasa, or Flow yoga is a more dynamic type yoga. If you are a beginner or veteran, Vinyasa yoga can give you a heart pumping workout while using the poses from Hatha yoga and the movement of a Sun Salutation. Closing the class with a Savasana, or relaxation, helps with stress relief and decompression.

  • Yin (hot/non-hot)

    Passive poses are held for up to five minutes in order to encourage the softening of connective tissue. This class is for all levels who want to experience deep relaxation. No standing poses, no vinyasas, and no yoga experience is required.

  • Relax & Rejuvenate (hot and reduced heat)

    Enjoy the heat and let your muscles release in the calm surroundings of our dimly lit studio. Open to all levels of yoga, come join us to stretch out, de-stress and detoxify your body. If you’ve never done hot yoga, this is a great opportunity to get used to the heat while exploring your practice

  • Power Flow (hot only)

    A powerful, energetic flow class that will burn caleries, tone, strengthen, cleanse your body and purify your mind. You’ll leave feeling full of vitality and empowerment. This is an ALL LEVELS class.

  • Relax & Refresh: Guided Meditation (TBA)

    Take time for yourself as we explore the concept of ‘no-mind’ through guided meditation.

    In day to day life we become caught up in the chatter of the mind as we form lists, reflect on our day, and attempt to prepare for tomorrow. The goal of meditation is to slow down the chatter and make space between these thoughts. Even in small amounts, achieving this ‘space between thoughts’ instills clarity and a state of contentment.

  • Gentle Yoga (reduced heat) (TBA)

    Rotating Class/Teacher – Each week a different teacher will bring their style and guide you through a relaxing practice.  Every class is intended to let go, create space and breathe.  Great for beginners or seasoned yogi’s.

  • Yoga Nidra

    Yoga Nidra, known as yogic sleep or sleep of the ages. A meditative state of consciousness between waking and sleeping that is intended to induce total physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Some people say that one hour of yoga nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep. The instructor will lead you through your meditation allowing you to listen and relax to the state of calm you need.

    DUE TO COVID-19 YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BRING YOUR OWN PROPS. YOU WILL REQUIRE: (MEXICAN) BLANKET OR BOLSTER, PILLOW AND EYE MASK (OPTIONAL).

  • Yoga Flow & Functional Movement

    Explore yoga & movement that will help you relieve muscle tension while improving both flexibility and strength. These classes will help you discover your habitual movement patterns and places where your body is not moving well (and help you find more movement in those sticky places). You might be surprised by the challenge presented by seemingly simple movements when you are required to keep one part of your body stable while moving another. The focus will vary each week (hips/pelvis, legs/feet, upper body/shoulders, core, back, etc.) and will incorporate both yoga and other forms of movement. We’ll start with a little bit of flow yoga to warm up and then draw our attention to the body area of focus for that class.

  • Hot Reiki Yin

    Enjoy a heated class of prolonged stretching while receiving the benefits of energetic Reiki healing. Due to COVID-19, reiki is done from the teacher’s mat.
