Chiropractic treatments may include:

  • Chiropractic Adjustments

The most common adjustment technique used by chiropractors is Diversified Technique, where a high-velocity, low amplitude (fast and small) thrust is directed through a specific joint in order to restore proper movement and alignment of the spine or joints of the extremities. On the other hand, lighter adjustments can be delivered through the use of sections that drop away as the adjustive thrust is applied.

  • Myofascial Release Therapy (MRT)

Postural imbalances, joint restrictions, repetitive movements, and sports injuries can often lead to strained, tight, and sore muscles. MRT is a soft tissue therapy that reorganizes the fibers of fascia, muscles, and tendons in order to eliminate pain and increase range of motion. It achieves this through tissue relaxation and improved circulation.

  • Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy (IASTT)

Over time, chronically tight muscles and tendons become inflamed and form scar tissue – also called adhesions – in order to protect the tissue from further damage and injury. We use the weight and design of various instruments to effectively remove scar tissue and adhesions within the body’s soft tissues that may cause pain, impair your normal range of motion, and produce inflammation. Additionally, the frictional nature of IASTT promotes healing through increased blood flow to and from the area. Some conditions that benefit from IASTT include carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, and post-surgical scarring.

  • Fascial Movement Taping

Muscles not only produce body movement, but also control the circulation of venous flow, lymph flow, and body temperature. Taping gives stability and support to your joints and muscles without affecting circulation or range of motion. Furthermore, Fascial Movement Taping is a unique blend of movement assessment and analysis, postural control, and performance enhancement techniques that are based on clinically proven methods for rehabilitation, posture, edema (swelling), pain control, and sports performance.

  • Webster Protocol

The Webster Technique is a specific, safe, and gentle chiropractic adjustment that is used to improve pelvic function in pregnant women. It is believed that this technique can reduce uterine torsion and intrauterine constraint, allowing the baby to get into the best possible position for birth.

What is Your First Chiropractic Appointment Like?

Our licensed chiropractors use their knowledge to assess you and find out the root cause of your pain. At your first appointment, your chiropractor will talk with you to get to know your health history. After that, they will perform an examination which can include range of motion, special tests, palpation, and a postural assessment. All of this enables them to develop a working diagnosis for you. Your evolve chiropractor will create a customized management plan, start treatment, and monitor your progress over time. Additionally, your progress might even include a reduced need for pain medications, as chiropractic may provide potentially helpful alternatives to opioid treatments. Your wellbeing is our concern.
