Concussion Management

A concussion is a type of brain injury that results from a direct or indirect blow to the head, face, or jaw and causes an alteration in brain function.

The symptoms and recovery of a concussion are different in every situation, making diagnosis and treatment difficult.  Shift Concussion Management offers individualized and effective strategies to individuals that have suffered a concussion or a mild traumatic brain injury.  Using evidence-based assessments and rehabilitative treatments, the program allows you to successfully return to work, school, and/or sport.  By assessing and addressing impairments in balance, coordination, gait, and strength, a progressive strategy that includes manual therapy, rehabilitative exercises, and work/school modifications can be implemented to get you well as soon as possible.
