Concussion Management
A concussion is a type of brain injury that results from a direct or indirect blow to the head, face, or jaw and causes an alteration in brain function.
The symptoms and recovery of this type of injury are different in every situation, making diagnosis and treatment difficult. Shift Concussion Management offers individualized and effective strategies to individuals that have suffered a mild traumatic brain injury. Using evidence-based assessments and rehabilitative treatments, the program allows you to successfully return to work, school, and/or sport. By assessing and addressing impairments in balance, coordination, gait, and strength, a progressive strategy that includes manual therapy, rehabilitative exercises, and work/school modifications can be implemented to get you well as soon as possible.
